The A.P.C. Romper Returns

May 18th, 2012 | by jack in: New Arrivals, Obsessions

After four lucky gals grabbed all of the first shipment of A.P.C.’s perfect denim romper last weekend, we thought we should give more of you a chance. A re-order just came in yesterday afternoon and Williamsburg staffers Lilli, Monique, and Lily took turns romping around Grand Street. It’s soft, it’s cute, it’s $275. One of each size left online and in Williamsburg only.

Left to right: Lilli with the romper, glow-in-the-dark Repettos, Kora necklace; Monique with No. 6 Shoes, Isabel Marant sweater; Lily with Rag and Bone sandals, Nomia blouse.

Welcome to Brooklyn

May 16th, 2012 | by Bird Cobble Hill in: Neighborhood

Pok Pok has made its way to Brooklyn and we couldn’t be more enthused!

New York got a taste of chef Andy Ricker’s genius with Pok Pok Wing in the Lower East Side, but we now have the full-on menu in our very own Columbia Waterfront Distrcit (only a ten minute walk from our Cobble Hill store). A few of us went to see if it was worth all the hype…

…and YES, it’s deserving of all the praise it’s receiving! Our favorites: Kai Yang, Neua Naam Tok, Kaeng Hung Leh.  And don’t fret if you have to wait 2 hours for a table- the drinks are amazing.

Having acquired a taste for authenticity, each bracelet is hand-made in his Miami-based studio with salvaged machinery, military grade rope and Italian leather. Check out our new stock of Miansai bracelets along with a few photos of our favorite places on the Brooklyn waterfront.

Fort Standard Blocks: Not Just For Kids!

May 8th, 2012 | by Bird Park Slope in: Obsessions

At first, it seemed as though Fort Standard blocks were for those under the age of 7. Then Park Slope Staffer Drew started getting really creative with the blocks himself, and we were pretty impressed. Actually, our minds were kind of blown.

Created by a duo of designers who go by the name of Fort Standard, whose domestic projects, while utilitarian by nature, are anything but standard. Finished with nontoxic colors, these blocks are safe for the earth and people of all ages.

Fort Standard blocks, $85. Available at all Bird Locations in white and multicolored.
